# The Third Test
I wasn’t worried yesterday, when Australia started their innings. After all, England had been soundly beaten in the first test, and only just scraped in a win in the second test. Now, however, I find myself in the unusual position of being glad of the rain.
Actually, I’m overstating the position of England. Even if Australia follows on, we can still win. SBS showed a graphic last night showing that in recent times, when a side makes a big score against Australia, only once have they managed to win; there were even a few occasions where Australia had been forced to follow on. So, it is still game on.
