# I'm in post angsty teenager heaven.
This throughly undeserving soul was given – for christmas – what is possibly the best present ever.

# When 32 is remembered better than 700
As I walked through the common area on my way to grabbing a coffee, I saw on the television a piece about that announcement. Specifically, it was Mike Gatting being asked his reaction.
I bet my left nut Mike Gatting was standing there while the microphone was thrust at him thinking “When the fuck are these ratfuck Aussie bastards going to let me forget about that fucking ball?”
Whoever he claims as his 700th victim in Melbourne – probably – they can rest assured that while they may indeed be the victim that puts Warne over the line that was near-mythical even four years ago and will be remembered for such more than any other of the 698 other wickets that are just as important to achieving the 700 figure as the 700th itself, they won’t be any where near as infamous as poor Mike Gatting.

# Christmas Party
GRs christmas party is tonight. It will be on a boat, presumably in Sydney Harbour; Cino help us all if we are going anywhere near the Heads. As I write, it is also overcast with intermittent sprinkles of rain. This is going to suck.

# I just like to see him get out.
I heard that some wanker, upon seeing Monty Panesar walking past during one of the last two Tests, said “He can’t be English”. Right now I’m listening to an interview with Monty on the BBC, and if that boy isn’t English then nor is Jonathan Agnew. He couldn’t be more English if he was unable to bat: bowling, on the other hand.
What a day. The Freemantle Doctor came in nice and early which I imagine lent some assistance to Monty taking five for in his first Ashes game. Perhaps Duncan Fletcher should be made to send his OBE back. And Harmison showing signs of his former self. We could have a Test on our hands.
Perhaps even a series. I would enjoy that for a number of reasons. Most go without saying, but the other perhaps less so. I happened to see a TV interview with Phil Tufnell on day three or four of the Adelaide Test. Tuffers was almost beside himself with glee at the victory from the jaws of which England then proceeded to snatch defeat. I didn’t get to see Tuffers on the fifth day after England had collapsed, but I would so enjoy another opportunity to witness the crestfallen visage of Tufnell, just as much as I so loved seeing him get out when he was still playing.
Collingwood out just as I was finishing the post.

# I wonder why some of them feel excluded
And the number one sign my formative years were spent on usenet, I present the single funniest thing I read today. Possibly also the number one sign my day was very boring. No cricket, you see.
I think this test is a good idea! New ‘Australians’ should have an understanding of our lanuage, values and history!
