A Supreme Court judge has found the phrase “we’re screwed” is offensive and inappropriate to be used on how-to-vote cards for Saturday’s state election.
It is like the crypto-monarchists in the newspapers tell us. We do have freedom of speech in Australia, provided to us by our glorious Common Law. We have the freedom to speak words Ned Flanders would use.
Actually, I wonder if I can find his email address so I can let him know that the only freedom of speech protection that is assured in Australia is freedom of political speech.
