# What is the collective noun for sub-humans?
It became fashionable yesterday amongst people who breathe through their nose to suggest that Jerry Falwell will be enjoying the many splendors and comforts of Hell. Personally I think it is awful, inhuman and disgusting to say such a thing – there is no Hell.
Jerry Falwell will merely rot slowly in a obscenely expensive box for all eternity.
I understand though that during the process of tipping some opulently housed refuse into the ground, that the Rev. Fred Phelps will be making an appearance to protest against a man he believed to be a ungodly.
I understand that part of it is because Falwell and Phelps disagreed on the notion of Free Will, which is to say that at least at some stage, Falwell believed that such a thing exists, which in Phelps’ mind makes him subjectively indiscernible from those filthy Satan-worshiping Catholicsi.
Anyway. Imagine that, there is someone out there who finds Falwell to be disgusting for the exact opposite reasons that the rest of Humanityii finds him disgusting. I’d suggest throwing Phelps in the hole as well, except that might end up like putting a Portable Hole inside a Bag of Holding, and create a swirling vortex sucking all of Falwell’s mourners into the Astral Plane with no way back…
I change my mind. Do it!
On the other hand, if Phelps really is a dadaist performance artist as some social conservatives have speculated, a provocateur whose purpose is to mock and bring derision to the likes of Falwell and Pat Robertson, well sir, I salute you. Shine on you crazy crazy fuck.
i Note to new readers – ha ha, it is to laugh – I actually quite like most Catholics. The ones who like the Pope though, not the various Gibsons, Hutton and Mel. Or the Pope actually, but that’s a different story. And it’s not just because I am obliged to because I sleep with one.
ii Just in case that wasn’t unsubtle enough, Falwell’s supporters are not humaniii but some sort of primate not descended far enough from our ape-like ancestors.
iiiAnd yes, I am quite happy to acknowledge my dehumanising of them, although I do implore you not to start rounding them up and killing them – why should the rest of us make ourselves even worse than them. Better to just out breed themiv.
ivI also acknowledge the cognitive dissonance that stems from being fully supportive of non-breeders while calling for a breeding program :- )

Sorry but I hav enoticed a distinct lack of sports content in this entry so thanks to the ABC sports desk, here is the judiciary results for the NRL which will have an effect on the State of Origin teams…
“New South Wales and Manly centre Jamie Lyon says he is relieved to be available for next Wednesday’s opening State of Origin clash in Brisbane after escaping suspension at the NRL judiciary last night.
Lyon was cleared of a grade one dangerous throw charge on Parramatta’s Eric Grothe.
Had he been found guilty, the 25-year-old would have been forced out of Origin I.
Lyon said he was glad to put the drama behind him.
“I’m very happy, was a bit nervous there for a couple of days but it’s a good result, a fair hearing,” he said.
Queensland lock Dallas Johnson was also cleared for Origin I after his careless high tackle charge was downgraded by the judiciary.
Johnson had been cited following his high shot on Bulldogs forward Reni Maitua in Monday night’s round nine NRL encounter.
Maroons coach Mal Meninga said he had always been confident Johnson’s charge would be downgraded.
“I think Dallas deserves that,” he said.
“We had a fair hearing obviously and we can get on with preparations now with Dallas Johnson in the side, so we’re extremely pleased.”
Meanwhile, Blues prop Luke Bailey said he had recovered from his initial disappointment about being named on the interchange bench for Origin I.
Bailey was unexpectedly left out of the New South Wales starting line-up and he had earlier admitted he was upset about the decision.
However, he said he was now committed to contributing to the Blues’s effort from the bench.
“It’s sort of a greedy thing when you play footy for an amount of time, you sort of get used to your number and you cherish that number and when it disappears you get a bit sooky,” he said.
“But that’s footy and I’m happy that I’m sort of overcome that and I’m fortunate to be here. You can’t sook, this is the best game in the world so you’ve got to be happy to be a part of it, even if you’re 18th man.”“

Ahh, thank-you mate, for reminding me that, of course, the collective noun for a sub-humans is “A Forward Pack”
In which the State of Origin will be, and always is, won. Queensland’s being better. Big, boofy centres and wingers are all very well and good, but they only get to jump for the high ball if the forward pack got the ball close enough to the try line for the half or pivot to put the bomb up in the first place.
