# re: What is the collective noun for sub-humans?
Sorry but I hav enoticed a distinct lack of sports content in this entry so thanks to the ABC sports desk, here is the judiciary results for the NRL which will have an effect on the State of Origin teams…
“New South Wales and Manly centre Jamie Lyon says he is relieved to be available for next Wednesday’s opening State of Origin clash in Brisbane after escaping suspension at the NRL judiciary last night.
Lyon was cleared of a grade one dangerous throw charge on Parramatta’s Eric Grothe.
Had he been found guilty, the 25-year-old would have been forced out of Origin I.
Lyon said he was glad to put the drama behind him.
“I’m very happy, was a bit nervous there for a couple of days but it’s a good result, a fair hearing,” he said.
Queensland lock Dallas Johnson was also cleared for Origin I after his careless high tackle charge was downgraded by the judiciary.
Johnson had been cited following his high shot on Bulldogs forward Reni Maitua in Monday night’s round nine NRL encounter.
Maroons coach Mal Meninga said he had always been confident Johnson’s charge would be downgraded.
“I think Dallas deserves that,” he said.
“We had a fair hearing obviously and we can get on with preparations now with Dallas Johnson in the side, so we’re extremely pleased.”
Meanwhile, Blues prop Luke Bailey said he had recovered from his initial disappointment about being named on the interchange bench for Origin I.
Bailey was unexpectedly left out of the New South Wales starting line-up and he had earlier admitted he was upset about the decision.
However, he said he was now committed to contributing to the Blues’s effort from the bench.
“It’s sort of a greedy thing when you play footy for an amount of time, you sort of get used to your number and you cherish that number and when it disappears you get a bit sooky,” he said.
“But that’s footy and I’m happy that I’m sort of overcome that and I’m fortunate to be here. You can’t sook, this is the best game in the world so you’ve got to be happy to be a part of it, even if you’re 18th man.”“

# re: What is the collective noun for sub-humans?
Ahh, thank-you mate, for reminding me that, of course, the collective noun for a sub-humans is “A Forward Pack”
In which the State of Origin will be, and always is, won. Queensland’s being better. Big, boofy centres and wingers are all very well and good, but they only get to jump for the high ball if the forward pack got the ball close enough to the try line for the half or pivot to put the bomb up in the first place.
