Apparently I’m not cured after all. The doctor asked me about appetite1, if my weight was stable2, any night sweats3, or lumps4. And then I did something stupid; I asked a question. I asked if the lung function impairment – due to chemo – was permanent. The anti-smoking ads about emphysema made me wonder. Is the reason I have coughing fits for weeks after I have a cold is because of lung impairment.
I had forgotten one of my symptoms – the fucking symptom, really – was a persistent cough5. So I feel I dobbed myself in and have to go back at least one more time. Frack.
1 Very much there. I’m sorry, but I like pizza a lot, even if I’ll spend the rest of my pitiful life pining for a slice of pepperoni from New York, the best pizza in the multiverse.

3 No, no need to change my pajamas and the sheets during the night. You can wake up sweaty, or you can have night sweats. My personal best was four pairs of pajamas in one night. We learned to put a blanket between me and the sheets.
4 No, but you’d think after five years and five months (to the day) since presentation, in which I have felt myself up at least twice a week, that I could tell the difference between a lump and the tendons in my fucking neck.
